Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What's the Gently Used Sale?

A: Please read all about our special gently used blankets HERE.

Q: Can the blankets be washed and dried?

A: Yes, the blankets are machine washable on cold or warm, tumble dry low. We recommend adding a few towels to even out the weight.

Q: What are the blankets filled with?

A: The  pellets used in our blankets are made from a PVC compound produced using FDA-approved, non-hazardous materials.  The product, if in contact with skin, is non-irritating and no effect is expected if ingested by humans and animals. This product burns when exposed to temperatures greater than 600°F.

Q: What are the colored lines on my blanket?

A: The card enclosed with your blanket explains that these chalk or water-soluble marker lines are used during the production of each blanket and will wash out after one or two washings. If you have further trouble, please let us know.

Q: Which weight is right for me?

A: The ideal blanket weight is generally 10% of your body weight. Choose the closest weight available in that range. If you are in between sizes, we recommend going down a size. Check our SIZE CHART for more info.

Q: How long does it take to receive a blanket?

A: Most orders for in-stock blankets are fulfilled in 2-3 business days, plus shipping time via UPS ground.  Items on backorder vary. Feel free to contact us for more information.

Q: What size are the blankets?

A: The blankets are about the size of a twin blanket, about 42" x 74". Cool Max blankets are a more generous personal size at 55" x 74".

Q: Can I change my order?

A: We are not currently accepting returns

Q: Can I exchange for a heavier or lighter weight?

A: We are not currently accepting returns

Q: How do they work?

A: Weighted blankets work like deep tissue massage. The pressure releases serotonin in the body and some of that serotonin becomes melatonin. Melatonin helps us relax and sleep. See our video here.

Q: Who do Weighted Blankets help?

A: Please refer to our full list by clicking here.

Our blankets are designed with adults in mind.

Q: Would the blankets help children with sensory processing issues?

A: A child with sensory processing issues needs to have a treatment plan with a specialized therapist in order to experience optimal benefits from a weighted product. We do not recommend our blankets for use with children under 80 lbs. Our blankets are intended for adults.

Q: How warm are the blankets?

A: Our flannel blankets add warmth.

The quilting cotton blankets add little warmth.

The Cool Max blankets actively wick away body heat, adding no warmth.

Q: Are the blankets covered by insurance?

A: While we do not work with insurance companies, HSAs, Medicare, or Medicaid, we would be more than happy to provide you with any documentation needed should you chose to pursue a claim with your insurance. We suggest you inquire with your doctor and/or insurance provider.

Q: Do you ship to Canada?

A: We now ship to Canada. Shipping charges apply. In addition, UPS may levy heavy fees at the border. We recommend contacting UPS for an estimate before ordering.

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: Yes! We now ship via UPS to Australia, Canada and most of Europe.  For an estimate, please begin the checkout process until the shipping rate populates. Additional fees and tariffs by UPS may apply.

Q: Do you ship to Alaska and Hawaii?

A: We do ship to Alaska and Hawaii. Shipping charges apply. For an estimate, begin the checkout process until the shipping rate populates.

Q: Do you have a queen or king-sized blanket?

A: No. Our blankets are made for individual use. With larger blankets, the weight is wasted on the bed, instead of the person receiving the benefit.

Q: Do you do custom orders?

A:  At this time, we do not make blankets in custom sizes, weights or fabrics.
